Here is a break down of what each casino that offers ecoPayz as a payment option can provide you with:
ecoPayz was founded as EcoCard in 2000, making it one of the longest-established digital wallet solution providers available on the internet. The company is owned by PSI-Pay Ltd, part of PSI Holdings.
It wasn’t until 2008 that ecoPayz could count itself as a serious provider of online financial services, as in that year its parent company PSI-Pay Ltd became regulated by the Financial Services Authority under directives issued by the EU, and the Financial Services and Market Act 2000. The company therefore became authorised by the FSA as an ‘electronic money’ provider subject to regulations and supervision.
In 2009 PSI-Pay became a principal member of MasterCard, which enabled it to issue pre-paid MasterCards to those of its customers who desired them. Also in 2009, ecoPayz launched its own iPhone app, being the first financial institution to do so.
In July 2013 EcoCard chose to rebrand itself as ecoPayz, as the company’s origin vision had evolved beyond the provision of card-based payment systems. The company also launched a mobile version of its site at the same time.
In 2014 the company added an Android version of its mobile app, as well as launching ecoVirtualcard, which is a virtual credit card that could be used for online and telephone purchases.
There are two types of ecoPayz accounts – personal and business.
Anyone can sign up for a Personal ecoPayz account – it’s quick, free and very easy to do. All you need is a valid email address, as you will need to validate yourself in order to send payments to merchants. All payments can be made online or via a mobile device, and all transactions are secure as they go straight into the recipient’s own ecoAccount.
You can fund your ecoAccount by using money transferred from MasterCard, Visa, Visa Electron, Maestro, Safety Pay or Yandex Money.
You can also use your ecoAccount at real world establishments by applying for an ecoCard. This is pre-paid MasterCard that is accepted in the real world at any merchant that displays the MasterCard symbol. Your ecoAccount can be kept completely separate from your bank account or credit card account, and can be used world-wide and with multiple currencies.
ecoPayz also supplies a one-use virtual card available with your ecoAccount, called ecoVirtualcard. The ecoVirtualcard can be supplied in either € Euros, £ GBPs or $ USDs and is unique as it expires as soon as it used. To use the ecoVirtualcard, you simply quote the supplied card number over the phone or enter it online. The fact that it expires as soon as it used means it can never be stolen or used nefariously. The ecoVirtualcard is accepted by any merchant that accepts MasterCard.
You can use your ecoAccount at any online casino that accepts payment via ecoPayz in any part of the world. There are currently around 160 countries that have no problem in accepting ecoPayz transactions in any one of 47 different currencies.
There are plenty of online casinos that are happy to accept ecoPayz transactions, mainly as it is recognised as the most convenient way for online gamblers across the world to enact online transactions.
