AstroPay first came into being in 1996, and although based in London, they mainly provide online payment solutions for South and Central American customers. People in those countries usually find difficulty in having their credit cards accepted by overseas companies, and also find it difficult to obtain a credit card that is registered for international use. AstroPay is a neat solution to such clients, as it works as a credit card but must be pre-loaded with cash via other payment providers before it can be used.
AstroPay’s main product is the AstroPay card, which is a virtual credit card. The company also offers AstroPay Direct, which offers a direct payment service but in local currencies only.
AstroPay has agreements in place with some other online payment solution providers such as Paysafecard, Neteller and WorldPay, as well as GoDaddy.com, the domain hosting and website-building services provider.
The first step you need to take to use an AstroPay card is to sign up for an AstroPay account, which you do by visiting the AstroPay site. Once you have completed the registration process, you will be able to purchase a card. The cards come in a range of values, and a range of available currencies. You can purchase a card in a different currency to your local currency if you wish to use a different currency from your own to complete your purchase.
You can use any of the most popular payment options that are available in the country in which you reside to pay for your AstroPay card.
Once you have completed your purchase, you will be emailed your card. Remember that AstroPay cards are purely virtual, and you will not receive a physical version of your card.
Because you are purchasing a pre-paid and pre-loaded card, the institution where you then use your card will not have any access to any of your personal financial details.
When the time comes to use your card, you simply select AstroPay as your chosen payment method. You then enter the credit card information in the required fields as you would with any other credit card – the sixteen digit card number, the security code and the expiry date. Payment confirmation should be immediate.
You can re-use your virtual credit card as many times as you want until the full credit amount has been exhausted. You cannot top up your virtual credit card once it has been used.
You can obtain an AstroPay account at any online casino that accepts payment via AstroPay. The main countries where you can obtain an AstroPay account are Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Mexico, Chile, Venezuela, Costa Rica, Uruguay, Paraguay and Bolivia.
There are some online casinos that are happy to accept AstroPay transactions, mainly those whom are also happy to accept customers from South America countries.
